Our catholic schools are great when it comes to fundraise for CAFOD and St Edward’s Primary in Aylesbury is no exception. With the support of the school, the students came up with brilliant ideas to help raise funds. Shayne and Annabel (Year 6) explain what they did :
“We started our fundraising by doing Mufti- Fridays. This gave us the opportunity to come to school in our own clothes and donate £1.00 to CAFOD.
Then the teachers gave us a chance to buy Easter egg raffle tickets which were 20p per ticket. The staff donated all the eggs. It was an egg-stravanza! This egg-cited us as we might get a free Easter egg.
Next we did Playground Pennies. We brought in many pennies to cover all the lines of the big playground. We successfully covered all the lines and we wrote the short date, a smiley face and St Edward’s with pennies and 2p coins. Overall we raised £1648.63 !”
Thank you so much to St Edward’s. What brilliant ideas and such a fantastic amount raised! Well done to you all.
