8 year old Reuben and cousins dance for CAFOD

Children never fail to inspire!  8 year old Reuben is one of them.  One of our parish volunteers, Alban Macdonald, shared this great story with us :

Cousins Reuben, Elijah, Jaxon and Jay chose to put on an impromptu demonstration of their dancing skills as post dinner entertainment for the guests at their Grandma Catherine’s and hubby Jim Tumelty’s Golden Wedding Anniversary and Catherine’s 70th Birthday celebration.

However, 8 year old CAFOD enthusiast Reuben, went that one stage further… Seizing the microphone in his hand he boldly requested “if you’d like to make a donation for their entertainment then they’d happily give it all to CAFOD”; and so they raised a wonderful £26.38 bonus.

Well done Reuben and all your cousins for thinking of those in great need and doing something to help!  You are really an inspiration!

Our web page has lots more great fundraising ideas so do have a look.
