A very big welcome to our diocese’s newest CAFOD group from Our Lady of Perpetual Succour in Chesham Bois. We’re delighted to have Monica, Beryl and Ann along with Father Andy, joining us in supporting the work of CAFOD, in helping many thousands of people who are living in poverty to transform their lives.
Deborah Purfield (our CAFOD co-ordinator) joined the group this week to talk to them about ways the parish can get involved and build community. Some of these included campaigning, prayer and becoming a fair trade parish. There were also things people could do to such as switch to ethical banking and green electricity. Look out for more news coming soon on both of these!
Thank you Fr Andy and ladies for your wonderful support. We look forward to hearing about all the exciting and innovative things coming up!
If you’d like to find out more about how to form a CAFOD group or other ways to volunteer with us do get in touch.
