Six month old Reuben was clearly influenced by the CAFOD volunteers’ refresher training session he attended with his mother, Kate, in January 2016.
A few weeks later he when he was baptised, he decided to ask his guests to make their gifts to him more special by passing them on to those who need them. After all, he has two older brothers and, therefore, all the toys he could ever wish to play with.
He was very pleased to find that, thanks to the generosity of his family and friends, many gifts were made to celebrate his welcome to the Church. ‘Food for a Family’, a ‘Make a Child Smile’, “Teach someone to read” and a ‘School Starter Pack’ were among the fitting World Gifts that were passed on in his honour.
Have you got an event coming up? Could you do with passing on your gifts to help make the world a more just place? Visit World Gifts to see which would suit your occasion http://worldgifts.cafod.org.uk/
