Fairtrade Christmas boxes are a hit

FT for Xmas Dec15

Holy Family and St. John’s Parish Justice and Peace group made up 125 Christmas Gift boxes using Fairtrade goods from Tradecraft .  Boxes were priced at £5, £10, £15, & £20.  These were purchased by parishioners as gifts for family or friends. Holy Family and St. John’s is a Fairtrade parish and do great work to promote Fairtrade which is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability and fair terms of trade for small-scale farmers.

Thirty of the £5 boxes were purchased by parishioners and donated to the Luton Food Bank. (The  photo above shows some of the parishioners who donated the boxes, with one being presented to a representative of the food bank.).  What a fantastic idea to support locally and overseas!

CAFOD is asking people this Christmas to consider buying items from Tradecraft.  They have really lovely Christmas cards.  If you buy them using the links given, or quote CFD16, CAFOD will get 10% commission.
