St John’s Luton raises over £500 at soup Lunch

Over 80 people enjoyed a Lenten soup Lunch at St John’s parish in Luton on the 28th March 2015.  One of the organisers, Maureen Borbone said, “It went really well and we had a good crowd. We also had our  “Bags of blessings” where people put money into little bags over Lent.  We should be able to send CAFOD over £500″

75 people at soup lunch - raised £500

What a fantastic turn out and support from the parishioners and all those who attended the event.  Thank you to everyone who played a part in this Lenten event which has raised over £1000 (as CAFOD has been granted matched funding by the UK government for this Lenten  appeal).  CAFOD cannot do its great work without the support of our wonderful volunteers and supporters.
