Join the annual conference of the Northampton Diocese Justice and Peace Commission

Everyone is invited to attend the annual conference of the Northampton Diocese Justice and Peace Commission, which will be held in Slough on Saturday 4 October .

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Living the Gospel in today’s world’. The keynote speaker is Canon James Cronin, National Director of the Association for the Propagation of the Faith (APF), who will be talking about the plight of persecuted Christians around the world. The APF assists each of the Catholic Church’s 1,069 mission dioceses to provide pastoral care and preach the Gospel effectively.

David McLoughlin, a theologian from Newman College, Birmingham, will also be speaking, on the subject of ‘justice in the Gospels’.

The event begins with mass at 9am, followed by registration from 9.30am. It will take place at Holy Family Church, 226 Trelawney Avenue, Langley, Slough, SL3 7UD. Please feel free to bring some food for a shared lunch.
