Lemlem visits from Ethiopia

Parishes and Schools across the Diocese have been truly amazing in their support for our Lenten Campaign.  As a follow-up we have been fortunate in being able to secure a visit from Lemlem  Berhe, a 26 years old water engineer from Adigrat in Ethiopia.

She is working for the Adigrat Diocese Catholic Secretariat (ADCS), a CAFOD partner, as a water and irrigation engineer with the communities supported by our connect2 programme in Ethiopia.

On Wednesday, 9 May, she will be visiting Northampton Diocese and will be giving a short presentation and answering questions about her work at Our Lady Help of Christians and St Lawrence, West Street, Olney MK46 5HJ

She will also be encouraging us to lobby David Cameron, the Prime Minister, to help secure the support of the G8 in tackling water poverty.  To join the campaign call on the PM for safe water and sanitation for all click here.

Her presentation will start at 7pm and all are welcome.  We hope to see you there.
