Fynnius Fogg rocks Bedford

Fynnius Fogg rocked Bedford for CAFOD this year and Elvis turned up to check they were in tune!

Christ the King parish Hall was the venue and as they opened the show Fynnius Fogg Bass Guitarist, Bern, told us they were going to take us back to the old parish hop – and they did!

Over 100 people crouded into the hall and danced the night away to sounds from the 60’s and 70’s.  Granted that some of them were in their 60’s and 70’s, but there were plenty of younger folk just eager to learn how it was done in the good old days.  Even when “sitting this one out” there were many singing along to the sounds of the Turtles, Monkeys and other famous bands.

Many came in “fancy dress” or simply put on some comfortable clothes that their children had hidden away many years ago. Elvis gave us all a short rendition of Blue Suede Shoes without missing a note.

At the end of the evening we were able to claim that not only had we had a great evening’s entertainment and fun, but that we had also provided a village with a clean water supply where there had been none before.

Well done to all and many thanks to Fynnius Fogg for a great evening.

  1. Sweet Catriona, you were so right. I loved your mail and the great photos. I knew that at least one pretty lady looked familiar. Now I know, that your daughter must have taken after you. You do everything to help your fellowcitizens and I admire you for that. Keep up the good work! Say hello for me at gsk and remember me whenever you have something you want to share, Love, Marilena.
