William Shippin raised over £200 for CAFOD

William Shippin, the IT Manager at St Thomas More Catholic School in Bedford, raised over £200 for CAFOD when he completed the Great South Run on Sunday 24 October.  Though he’s been working at the school for 7 years he was the youngest of CAFOD’s runners and completed the distance in just in 1hr 18mins.

It was the second time he was taking part in a run but the first time he was running for CAFOD, he wanted to run not just to have fun but also to help people. He is a member of the Scout Association and enjoyed the atmosphere of the race – and the fact that the weather had been very kind! In fact he found the whole race experience enjoyable and would recommend it to others.

Having been brought up a Catholic he chose to run for CAFOD and hopes to take part in the Great South Run again next year, possibly completing it in even shorter time.  If you’d like to join him, just get in touch.
