Saints Debate Climate Change

“The Saints” Youth Group at St. Augustine’s, Daventry are a number of teenagers who have been working with their former Confirmation catechist Margaret, Mgr Sean Healy and youth organiser Neil from NYMO to devise a series of lively and interesting meetings.

They have also arranged outings which were fun and challenging.

Recently, they discussed climate change and the forthcoming conference in Copenhagen with Maggie from the parish’s Justice and Peace Group.  Not all “Saints” agreed that climate change was mainly the result of mankind’s activities, but the sceptic did join the group in preparing an attractive display board for the church porch.

CAFOD’s Climate Change Hands cards were distributed at all Masses one weekend and Bidding Prayers reflected concerns about climate change.
