Create a Climate for Justice!

We’re making progress towards climate justice.card6

Last month Gordon Brown announced the proposal the UK will take to the Copenhagen negotiations and agreed to lead the UK delegation – a great victory for CAFOD campaigners! Check out the latest Campaign Update

Now we want to make sure he has the full support of all our MPs, so, could you organise a lobby of your  MP?

Over the weekend of 16-18 October, 50 days before the Climate Change Summit, MPs and candidates will be lobbied in their constituencies to commit to real action on climate change and global poverty.

It is you – their constituents – who have the power of persuasion. You can show politicians why you care and why taking these issues seriously is vital in winning votes.

You could invite your MP to a parish meeting, or simply visit them in their offices with a few friends.

Check the tool box for more information and support.

You may also want to join The Wave on 5th December.  We are planning to run a coach but have heard that you can book a seat with Stagecoach for £4.50. You need to quote ref RSPB01.  However, if you’d like a place on our coach, please email: northampton@cafod.org.uk, reply to this post or call 01604 785 254
