On Sunday, 30th November we gathered at Northampton Cathedral for an ecumenical service to mark the 20th World AIDS Day.
Through reflections, prayers and testimonies, we remembered those living with HIV and AIDS around the world.
Candles were lit in memory of those who would die even as we gathered, and we saw how CAFOD’s work with those living with the virus had changed over the last 20 years.
All present promised to take a lead in telling others about the impact of HIV and AIDS, supporting those working on HIV and AIDS issues – and to demand that our own poitical leaders continued to support the fight to bring an end to the pandemic.
